On Christmas Eve of 2015 a delegation from Al-Huda Arabic School for boys, including students, assistants and the headmaster, visited Rowan Weald Nursing Home to distribute Christmas presents to the residents in collaboration with the Zahra Trust. The students, assistants and teachers of Al-Huda wanted to demonstrate the true values of Islam, those of charity and good will to all people, regardless of creed or colour. The presents were gratefully received by the tenants of the nursing home, showing that a small act of kindness can bridge the distance between different communities. We are very proud of the students and young school assistants who came to distribute the presents, and we’re full of admiration for those who work at the nursing home, supporting the elderly day-in and day-out. We hope that this marks the beginning of a long-enduring tradition, fostering charity and inter-communal understanding.
