Last Saturday, the 27th of February, Al-Huda Arabic School for boys held its annual celebration. The day was filled with fantastic and engaging activities and performances, including recitations of poems and nasheeds from the students, an award ceremony for students who had recently achieved a great level of improvement, and a lecture by Shaykh Mohammed al-Hilli about the manners of our Holy Prophet Muhammed (s). There was also a quiz for the students, with prizes for those who got the answers right, and a drawing competition. The drawings the students had produced were auctioned to the parents and the proceeds were pledged to the Noor Orphans Fund. We’re gald to say that altogether over £400 was raised to support the orphans of Iraq.
We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who took part: to the headteacher, the teachers of the school, the teaching assistants, the parents of the students and, last but by no means least, the students themselves. Thank you all for making this a very successful event.
